Intro
1. Get the basics right
For the information of the first-timers, a full-grown beard does not grow overnight, in the project you have to be prepared for several weeks of trouble. The beard grows an average of 12mm/month, so after about 4 weeks of growth, the stubble can already be called a beard. When the magical 12mm length is exceeded, you can (and should) start to shape your beard and think about your own preferences and beard style. At this point, first-timers should check out our ultimate beard care product buying guide from here .
2. Prevention of itching
The beard itches the most when it's warm and during the first two weeks of growth. The best remedy for itching is to grab it beard balm . The moisturizing ingredients of the balm give dead and dried skin cells a ride, which also relieves itching. Also beard oils are suitable for this task, but since the oils are just that, oil, they lack substances that better moisturize the beard hair.
Shave Club recommendation: Shave Club "Natural" beard balm, 60ml
3. Washing the beard
Keep your beard clean. Washing your beard is an important part of a stylish summer beard. As we all know, summer is hot. Heat, on the other hand, causes interesting smells in our body. Washing the face is a familiar task to many people, usually the face is washed twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. Washing your beard requires a slightly different schedule. We recommend that the beard is normally washed twice a week with products specifically intended for it with detergents and conditioners . In the summer, the schedule can (and should) be made a little tighter as the temperature and amount of sweat increases. The beard should always be washed after a good workout or if it accumulates a lot of sweat, e.g. when sunbathing. By following this instruction, the skin under the beard stays in good condition and the beard stays both clean and safe from odors. If you wash your beard too often, it dries out and starts to split and the skin under the beard dries out.
Shave Club recommendation: Shave Club "Natrual" beard shampoo, 200ml and Shave Club "Natural" beard conditioner, 200ml
4. The secret to a soft beard
Okay, it's not a big secret but it's called into beard oil . A soft beard is a happy beard and this is achieved with the aforementioned beard oil. Beard oil moisturizes the skin under the beard, while balms take care of the beard hair itself. Spreading oil is also its own art form and there are almost as many ways as there are users. However, the most common practice is beard comb and beard brush combo, the comb spreads the oil and the brush rubs it into the beard and underarm skin.
There are so many oils for trains that choosing them can sometimes be challenging. That's why we listed our favorites for those who want a perfect summer beard, please 🙂

5. Make it your own
Some people like to keep their beards trimmed and styled. Still others imagine they are Gandalf on their way to Mordor to save the hobbits and grow a beard down to their navel. Part of the group is of the opinion that the so-called hangover bed is the hottest thing. It really doesn't matter what kind of beard you want, as long as you (and maybe your spouse...) think it's good. Remember to care for and value your beard, it's earned it!
