Did the shaving go worse than usual? Don't worry, alum will fix everything (after a moment of stinging a bit). Alum stops bleeding, closes skin pores and soothes irritated areas. It also works as a good feedback provider, because the alum has a habit of telling you where you pressed the blade too much, or shaved at a too aggressive of an angle.

There's no need to have a face full of pieces of toilet paper anymore.

Wet the end of the stick with cold water and then gently press the desired point. Finally, dry your face with a towel.
